The main office for McAlester Park & Recreation is located at 801 9th Street at the J. I. Stipe Center. Inside you will find the senior citizen center, racquetball, basketball, workout equipment, meeting rooms and kitchen. Outside is Rotary Park, community amphitheatre, disc golf course and Stipe Swimming pool.

All pools open in June. Open 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.

Supervised Wading Pools

Opens first week in June, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Closed Sunday and Monday. Ages 11 and under. Wading pools at the following locations:

Chadick Park, Hutchison Park, Komar Park, B and Jefferson Park, and Hunter Park.
